Chemical Engineering and the Low Carbon Energy Transition
The IChemE Energy Centre is pleased to sponsor this panel discussion at APCChE2015. The session will focus on the role of chemical engineers in delivering an energy transition in the Asia-Pacific region. 

The key issues will be debated by an expert panel comprising Professor Stefaan Simons (Brunel University London), Dr Gareth Forde (All Energy Pty & Queensland University of Technology), Ross Pilling (BASF Australia), Professor Tatang Hernas Soerawidjaja (Institute of Technology, Bandung; National Academy of Sciences, Indonesia) and Professor A. Bakar Jaafar (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia; Institute of Advanced Future Energy).

Translating Research to Industry Benefits: Rheology case studies
The aim of this panel discussion is to communicate and provide examples of how research and fundamental knowledge is used to benefit industry. This session is suitable for academics to learn how to translate their research into beneficial outcomes for industry as well as for industry to learn how they may benefit from research in the field of rheology. Four case studies from different industries including mineral, wastewater treatment, personal care and polymer processing are discussed.
